Miles also likes Jonathan's toy

our little man

ready for church - happy in his car seat

he also seems to be growing pretty well right now! he is pretty close to grown out of his three months clothes and is getting into his 6 months sizes. but he is pretty long and skinny, some pants he has still don't fit him in the waist but he has just about outgrown them lengthwise!

Hmmm and I thought I was going to be better at posting :)

This is how he makes his fist, he will also then put the thumb and pointer finger in his mouth to suck on it - super cute!! :)
Miles doesn't like sharing his snuggle time with Jeremy, but he finds a way to make it work! :)

He enjoys his little play gym, and watching the toys!

Hanging out in his Bumbo seat with mom in the kitchen.

We are doing great, currently Jeremy is in giving Jonathan his bath and I am enjoying a little bit of time to myself, maybe there are other things I "should" be doing, but this what I am doing. :) Jonathan continues to grow and change and it is so fun watching him as he is trying to learn about this world around him. WE have even started to get a few nights with 10 hrs of sleep!! Which makes for an even happier mommy! (Daddy still gets the same amount) :) - the waking baby in the night ahs never seemed to disturb Jeremy, funny how that happens! He did learn early on to not ask if JOnathan slept through the night since he hadn't heard him, truth was we may have been up two or three times and Jeremy jsut never woke up.

I was able to go out for a girl's night this last Fri night with some good friends. I have been so blessed with a wonderful group of friends here, and 6 of us had either had a baby or about to within the last year and a half, 5 of us were pregnant at the same time. So it was fun to steal away for an evening and leave all of our boys with the husbands! WE got a hotel room close by, which was a great plan, we were able to go swimming in the pool, hang out in the hot tub and then relaxed, ate lots of food and played card games. What a fun evening. We didn't even all stay the night, but the small cost of the hotel room far outweighed kicking a husband out of a house and no one had to clean up after us!! :)

Jonathan continues to talk to us alot and makes tons of wonderful sounds. I went swimming with my mom for a bit tonight and he stayed with his uncles Ben and Dan and Grandpa. Uncle Ben did a great job and even went and found his milk in the freezer at their house and warmed up a bottle and fed it to him!! It is so fun for me to watch my brothers with him, so sweet! Jonathan got a shirt from UNcle Dan this week that says "I'd rather be cruising with my Uncle in his muscle car"!! I love it! (Dan is working on restoring a 1965 Mustang, and in my hanging out at my parents house with J over the last few months, we have watched lots of car shows) :).

We leave on Thurs night for a week in CO with Jeremy's family and are so looking foward to being down there. I don't love packing for all three of us now, but once we get there it will be fun! I am especially hoping for some nice weather!! Anything warmer than 30 and snowing will be great with me!

Well, I should end this, sounds like bath time is almost over and then it is time for his last feeding and bedtime for the rest of us!

Bath time at Grandma's - 10 wks

Falling asleep 8 wks (?)

Brand new baby - just a few hours old

Well, hello and welcome back to anyone reading this! I decided that maybe I should update this, since it has been 11 weeks now since Jonathan Mark was born. The last 2 1/2 months really have been somewhat of a whirlwind, yet I've loved just about every minute of it! Jonathan was born Dec 3, after a long labor, but once we had him in our arms, it was all worth it! :) Since then we have had a fair amount of company, Jeremy's dad over Christmas and then his mom and step-dad the first weekend of January. Then my best friend Rachel and her husband Tim came towards the end of January, and then this last week I travelled with my mom and Jonathan down to Wyoming to spend time with my Grandma Lindahl. WE also saw two sets of Aunts and UNcles and some of my cousins. WE had a great week in Wyoming, and Jonathan did AMAZING travelling!! He slept on all of the flights, and never did his ears seem to bother him. WE are hoping for more of the same when we travel to Colorado in mid-March.

I have really been enjoying staying at home with Jonathan, however starting next week I will be going back to work two nights a week. It will be good to go back, and this is really an ideal schedule, so I can't complain at all. Jonathan will stay with Grandma until Jeremy gets off work.

I have started trying to get out and take Jonathan for walks, we have even gone outside 3 times this week! WE just get all bundled up and go! :) And I think that he is even enjoying it! :) (he has to, there really is no option, I'm determined for him to like his stroller - best way for me to get back in shape). I'm looking foward to more of spring weather, which is probably a ways off, but when it is slightly nicer outside. I'm considering walking a half marathon this summer, I think it is a good goal. I had thought about doing the triathlon this year, but it's a little hard to train on the bike and swimming, so we'll go for the other option of walking a half! :) Hopefully I'll also find some other moms to walk it with me, because there are alot of new babies in our group of friends!

We are watching alot of the olympics right now, which is fun, I've been trying to get into the cross country skiing, curling, biathlon and hockey, since those are the only sports on during the day. So, I watch what is on. :)

WEll, not really a ton interesting to report at the moment, but I will add some pictures of Jonathan!

Oh, I could talk about JOnathan! haha - he has really been changing in the last couple of weeks. He is very interactive, and we have "conversations" together, he "goos" a ton, and is so sweet, and has the most precious smile! He also has this great pouty lip when he is about to cry, just makes your heart melt! He is lifting up his head well, although doesn't love his "tummy time" he woudl much rather be held. He has also started getting fixated on an object and will stare very intently! He has also been sleeping 7-8 hours at night consistently for about 4 weeks now, so that has been wonderful and makes for a much more rested mommy! :) He loves loves loves his bath time loves to kick his legs he can really get the water moving, and thinks it's great! he also loves getting his diaper changed and kicking his legs without any clothing on them! WEll, it sounds like he is waking up from his nap, so I should go! Enjoy the pictures!

39 weeks 1 day

Well, I have completed my first week of no work, which was great, it was a very productive and fun week, and I loved being off because it was a holiday week and actually felt like a holiday week. NOt, "oh hey, there's a holiday tomorrow, and I get a day off", so that was fun too! I had fun baking and cooking with my mom. Also worked on some small things around the house.

Jeremy and I (well, basically Jeremy) got our Christmas decorations up this weekend. We wanted to get it done this weekend, not knowing what the next couple of weeks could look like, however I was so exhausted and lethargic almost, that I became the manager of the operation, which he didn't so much appreciate, so I would jsut fall back asleep. :) I did get ornaments on the tree today though, so I did do something. We had to rearrange our living room again, and I like how it has turned out. If I had thought about it, I would've taken pictures of the tree, but I didn't, so those will come at a later time.

WE went to my parents for dinner tonight, which was alot of fun, Robby and Kara were back from Penn (went to visit her extended family for the holiday) and Kelly was still home from break, so it was fun the whole family being up at my parents hanging out and having dinner. I have been so blessed to have such an awesome family, parents, siblings and sisters-in-law. I love hanging out with all of them! Well, here are the most recent pictures, I had JEremy take a couple pictures of me tonight, so these are as current as they get! Amazing to think that hopefully not too soon this little one will be on the outside and I will actually be able to hold him/her!!

38 wks 5 days

After three days of cooking I was exhausted - waiting at my parents house until Jeremy got home from the Shootout games. - 38 1/2 weeks
Baby shower - opening gifts

How big is Brandy game - I really don't feel this huge, but this picture makes me feel huge i think. - this is 36 weeks!

Well, i am still here and pregnant - mostly just in the uncomfortable stage and ready to meet this little one more than anything. i would be perfectly content to go into labor at any point, but also trying to not be too anxious, and still try to keep my sights set on at least another week or more, but who knows. I'm mostly just updating this post some pics from my mom's camera that we just got on the computer. Not a whole lot new to report. I am done working, which is such a wonderful feeling!! I love it! I spent Monday and Tuesday cooking and freezing meals, which i am super pleased with having gotten done. I went grocery shopping with my mom on Sunday (weekend before Thanksgiving, not a great day to go, but we made it fun!) then cooked mostly all day Mon and Tues. Then on Wed helped my mom some with Thanksgiving stuff, she did the majority of it, but I got to hang out and help some. We also went for manicures yesterday, which was so wonderful to get done! Hmmm....that's about all that I can think of for now - all of my baby to do lists are pretty well crossed off, maybe a few minor things, but the big things are done!!

35 weeks

OK, this is going to be super quick, purely for the purpose of posting pics tonight. Things are going well here, I am very anxious to meet this little one. I love all the movement, but am getting more uncomfortable day by day it seems. keeping up with walking and some pool time, btu also lots of rest. Staying at my parents house right now, and keeping up with all the animals is keeping me busy enough. (2 dogs and a cat). i went over to Laura's tonight with Natalie and we did some quilting and hung out which was fun, and all the dogs got to play, which they loved! Included is a picture of the three of us, with the dogs and our pregnant bellies! Well, here are the pictures! More later!

32 weeks!!!!

Well, I am now in the single digit weeks of the countdown! And I'm starting to feel more and more like it is a countdown! I love having a baby growing inside of me and the feeling of this baby kicking, but I'm definately starting to feel the uncomfortableness setting in. I have a hard time sitting for too long - not on the couch, I can be on the couch all day if I could, but sitting in a normal chair, for too long gets uncomfortable. The hardest has been going to church and sitting in the pews and then Sunday School after that, I get really restless. I am finding that I am so grateful for the fact that I do have a job that keeps me on my feet and not at a desk all day. Which I think has been really good for me to keep going and moving and to not get too lazy. I am definately tired at the end of the day, and Jeremy continues to be so wonderful about letting me have my lazy time at home.
32 weeks Belly

The last couple of weeks we have been trying to finish off the little projects we want finished around the house. My favorite one was getting a new kitchen sink. Which really shouldn't seem too exciting, but I was/am super excited about it. We had just a basic old stainless steel sink that I just thought was gross. So we went and picked out a new porcelain sink and even got a new faucet, the sink is much deeper and just looks prettier in my kitchen. Yep, who knew I would be so happy about a kitchen sink! Don't get me wrong, it still doesn't encourage me to do too many more dishes by hand or at all for that matter. :)

I think Jeremy took this picture as proof that I still do cook some! :)

Baby Payne is moving around alot and I can see my stomach doing crazy wave motions at times, which is really fun. We were eating dinner last night and I had my plate on my stomach and the plate was moving all over the place from the kicking, which was fun to see! I went to the Dr. this last week and baby is still growing strong, nd measuring two weeks larege, so we'll see what that means. Now I start going to the Dr. every two weeks and then every week in about a month, and then it's baby time!!

The new kitchen sink and the new shower curtain for the baby bathroom.
